On October 28th 2023, Hazina Housing Cooperative Society did it again. All roads lead to the Joska Project through Kinanie for land viewing. The main event was the Joska Project Title deed issuing to members of the said project. The members were accompanied by the Board of Directors, Supervisory and the Staff of the Society.
The project is on a 17 acre piece of land that has been sub divided into an eighth acre plots (50×100).The project is fenced off to ensure no trespassing.
The Society organized pooled transport from the city that would take members to the venue. However, there was a detour to check out the proposed new project at along Joska, Kinanie Athi river road, which is currently under construction.
We were able to check out two parcels of land. The first was just 600 meters from the main road. The soil composition is a mixture of light black cotton and sandy soil, on a flat surface with stepped down electricity within reach. There are several neighbors just bordering the land. The land is 13km from Joska and 13km from Athi river.
The second land we visited was right opposite leather city and just in front of Last Village Resort. This parcel of land is right on the road and ideal for commercial setup. The soil composion is also light black cotton mixed with sand soil. The area is flat and just 5km from Joska and 21km from Athi River.
The convoy proceeded to Joska where the main celebration was slated, at approximately 12 noon. We arrived at Joska and the set up was ready. The Nyama choma was simmering as the members proudly went round checking out the location of their plots. We all assembled and started with a word of prayer, introductions, and speeches. The moment we had all been waiting for arrived and one by one names were called and proud members and owners of plots came to officially take ownership of there hard earned plots. There were all sorts of pomp and colour and the DJ of the day ensured that every one danced to their most preferred tunes as they came to pick the titles.
One of our young upcoming members got a pleasant surprise from the mum as he was gifted the title deed and was just informed that the parcel belonged to him. The young man was overwhelmed with joy beyond words.
We all enjoyed a delicious meal together. The menu consisted of Nyama Choma,Ugali, and Kachumbari.
The members elected the estate welfare committee which comprises of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and two members. The Society handed over the management of the estate to the welfare committee to organize and run the affairs of the estate. The members all agreed on Joska Hazina Gardens as the name of the estate and this was first order of business.
This was a wonderful day where members went back home as proud land owners.
Hazina Housing Cooperative Society congratulates and wishes all the new plots owners well and take this opportunity to welcome you all to our new project at Kinanie.
